Games made us, now we make games. We are currently working on our first game called Ashes: Two Worlds Collide.
We believe in a style of role playing game that has been all but abandoned by the gaming industry. We're talking about games like Ultima, Drakkhen, Demon's Winter, Fallout, Planescape Torment and many more. Our aim is to make a game in the spirit of these games. To find out exactly what that translates into please read more details here.
There are perhaps five people who, on hearing the title of our game experience a spark of recognition in their brains. This is because we started making this game a few of years ago as a labour of love which unfortunately got abandoned due to the unavoidable requirements of life and the void of free time afforded to two individuals. Despite this, Ashes was always in our minds and we dreamed of finishing it and would on occassion poke around the code and try some new things.
Then, Kickstarter, Bryan Fargo and Wasteland 2 happened and we started to dream. We always knew that no publisher would fund our style of game but Wasteland 2 proved something we have always known: there is a viable niche of gamers that have long desired a return to the days of proper role playing games. Will this desire extend to a widely unknown project? We don't know but we're here to find out.
The Ashes world is alive - it exists and breathes both in our minds and on paper. The story, the quests, the characters, the role playing system, even the world map - all these things exist in detail. If we managed to get funding it would allow us to hire the people we need to help build this world and for you to come and experience it.
